The Business Development (BD) Department of Plan International Nepal focuses specifically on the business growth, resource mobilisation, scoping of opportunities, submission of project ideas, concept notes, proposals for various funding opportunities and undertakes grants management ensuring donor compliances and reporting. The unit/team is tasked with the development of a long-term financial growth strategy to ensure Plan International Nepal’s financial sustainability through a balanced portfolio of suitable, medium and large-scale grants and pipeline of/for future funding. With an annual funding target of a minimum of Euros 12 million through grants, the BD unit will also lead and facilitate all units of Plan International Nepal towards a clear, systematic and well-coordinated approach, internally and externally, to meet the objectives of the new Country Strategy for 2024-2028.
Henceforth, the Resource Mobilisation Coordinator (RMC), as a key member of the BD Department, will be primarily responsible towards supporting the Resource Mobilisation Manager (RMM) in intelligence gathering, scoping of opportunities, gathering documentation and write ups for pitching to NOs, maintenance and management of database required for effective resource mobilisation. The RMC is expected to do so with active engagement with programme quality and innovation and other team members and departments engaged through the design phase. She/he will also ensure that all relevant documentation related to opportunities is updated in all Plan International’s internal applications and platforms; through management guidance of the RMM, will liaise with all relevant Plan International teams and colleagues towards enabling a multi-unit cohesive working environment. The RMC may also act as a secondary focal point for external liaison either in the absence of the RMM or when duly assigned.
