Organisation Overview
Child Rescue Nepal (CRN) is a UK-based INGO working in Nepal since 2000. Through its ‘Child Protection and Anti-trafficking Project’, it works with partner NGOs to rescue and care for child victims of slavery in Nepal. CRN rescue them from a life of physical abuse and forced labour, bring them home, provide medical and psychological treatment and try to reunite them with their families. We aim to stamp out the trafficking of children by carrying out anti-trafficking work, such as community education, pursuing the prosecution of traffickers and improving schools. Over the last 25 years, we have rescued more than 1000 children, but our work is far from over. Most rescued children can be reunited with their families, but when this is not safe or possible, we care for children in our small family-style homes.
