Nurturing Health: A Life-Course Approach to NCD Prevention in Nepal is implemented by Helen Keller International with support from the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF), in collaboration with the Family Welfare Division (FWD) and the Department of Health Services (DoHS). The project aims to strengthen the prevention, early detection, and management of hyperglycemia in pregnancy (HIP), including gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Adopting a life-course approach, the project integrates NCD prevention into maternal health services while promoting healthy lifestyle practices.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of activities under the Nurturing Health initiative in Lumbini Province. Serving as the primary liaison among the Province Health Director (PHD), Health Offices, municipalities, local stakeholders, the Implementation Partner, and the central project team, the coordinator will ensure the timely and quality delivery of planned interventions
In addition to provincial responsibilities, the coordinator will provide technical support to implementation partner. This role requires close collaboration with the PHD, relevant government agencies, and development partners to enhance coordination, optimize resource utilization, minimize duplication, and foster synergies for improved maternal and newborn health outcomes.
