The Technical Support – Health and Nutrition Program Officer for USAID Integrated Nutrition provides tailored technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), ensuring effective implementation and compliance with nutrition policies and programs. This role supports the MoHP in enhancing multisectoral nutrition efforts and improving the quality of nutrition interventions in Nepal.

The position involves support in program planning, capacity strengthening, and fostering collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, development partners, donors, and civil society organizations. The specialist coordinates with government entities, USAID Integrated Nutrition, and development partners to optimize resources, avoid duplication, and enhance program outcomes. Collaboration extends to non-health sectors such as Education, Science and Technology, Food Technology and Quality Control, and WASH to align nutrition-sensitive activities. The specialist ensures the integration of nutrition into maternal and child health programs, training curricula, and guidelines, while advocating for Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) principles at all government levels. This position is seconded to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) and will involve close collaboration with USAID and USAID Integrated Nutrition to advance the national nutrition agenda through multisectoral programming and health system strengthening.

Duration: One year, with potential for extension
