The Technical Advisor will support the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) which seeks to enhance multisectoral nutrition efforts in Nepal. The position will focus on integrating nutrition into the broader health system, ensuring evidence-based policies and interventions are adopted and sustained across sectors. It will also emphasize strengthening health systems to improve policy coherence, coordination, and program delivery within the framework of the Multisectoral Nutrition Plan (MSNP) III and Nepal Health Sector Support Plan (NHSSP) 2023-2030.

This role involves strengthening government capacity and fostering collaboration with multiple sectors and stakeholders, including government agencies, development partners, donors, and civil society organizations. The primary aim is to strengthen multisectoral collaboration, strengthen health systems and improve nutrition service delivery to ensure sustainable, high-impact outcomes for the population, focusing on vulnerable groups. This position is seconded to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) and will involve close collaboration with USAID and USAID Integrated Nutrition to advance the national nutrition agenda through multisectoral programming and health system strengthening.
