Nazdeek is committed to bringing access to justice closer to marginalized communities in South Asia. To deliver its vision, Nazdeek provides grants to community based organizations and facilitates learning to advance legal empowerment across South Asia.

Nazdeek believes that when marginalized communities are legally empowered on their entitlements and the laws that impact their lives, they are in a stronger position to build their skills and confidence to navigate inaccessible systems. Legal empowerment equips communities to know the law, claim their rights and shape the law to improve their socio-economic conditions.

Our model amplifies the power of marginalized women and their communities by turning legal education into action, supporting local leaders to monitor services and demand accountability, and driving research and advocacy to protect social and economic rights.
